New home construction in CT carries a statutory implied warranty that the new home is 1) free from faulty construction, 2) constructed according to sound engineering standards, 3) constructed in a workmanlike manner, and 4) fit for habitation. See Conn. General Statutes, Chapter 827. Builders may also offer an express warranty (see also Chapter 827).
